Its process is much less labour-intensive, meaning work can be carried out in all weather conditions. The machine’s intuitive design has made the transition seamless for Wensum’s team, with staff quickly adapting to its straightforward functionality.
By reducing the number of workers needed to aerate the soil, Wensum Valley can focus its resources on further improving the customer user experience in other areas of the course.
Proactive and Reactive Maintenance of the Aeration Jet
Stephen and his team use the Aeration Jet reactively to address waterlogging issues and proactively prevent future issues. The results speak for themselves: of the four greens at Wensum Valley, the green previously most affected by waterlogging is now the least affected. Although it is less frequently used in the summer, Peter ensures it’s on hand during unexpected wet weather to maintain playability and satisfy customers.
To further enhance their greens, Peter incorporates sand into the aeration holes after using the machine, ensuring improved soil structure and drainage for the future.
