Tractor Model
Our tractor aerator machine is designed to seamlessly attach to your tractor, enabling you to cover larger areas more efficiently in less time.
One of the most common challenges of land ownership is maintaining healthy soil, which is often compromised by factors such as foot traffic, waterlogging, and trapped air beneath the surface. Soil compaction locks in minerals, air, and water particles, preventing proper nutrient flow and damaging the soil’s overall health.

The Ultimate Ground Aeration Machine
The Aeration Jet Ground Aerator is a ground aeration machine.
The Aeration Jet has a single probe, which is available in two diameters.
The aerator probe blasts air in 4 directions at variable pressures to a depth and duration that the operator requires down to a maximum of 500mm using the 25mm diameter probe, thus lifting, expanding and de-compacting the soil.
Key features of the Ground Aerator include:
- 4-way aeration jet
- maximum working depth of 500mm
- 3-point linkage lightweight design perfect for small compact tractors
- Hose reel
The Aeration Jet is ideal for high-traffic areas prone to high footfall, which can cause compaction and poor grass growth.
Areas such as (but not limited to) goal mouths, bunkers, walkways, greens and around tree roots, injecting life-giving air into the soil profile and allowing the plant roots to breathe, perfect for spot treatments complementing other forms of aeration.
The target users would be the likes of groundsmen, greenkeepers, grounds construction and maintenance professionals and all sports and amenity grounds professionals.

The Aeration Jet Requires a Compressor
The Aeration Jet requires a compressor to provide around 40 cubic feet of air per minute.
The roadside compressor is the cheapest option to provide enough air to the Air Jet.
This is because you can hire one of these compressors from your local plant hire company for around £100 per week, one of the advantages to hiring a compressor is that all the servicing of the unit will be included.
A smaller unit is the petrol driven compressor that you can purchase for around 8k.
This unit is completely independent but uses around 30 litres of petroleum in an 8-hour working day.
The third opinion for the air compressor is to use the tractors PTO. This can drive an air compressor, which can be mounted on the Air Jet.
This will make the unit completely independent from having an air hose connected to it. It would be at a cost of around £8K.
Frequently Asked Questions
Soil aeration is an essential part of maintaining healthy soil and promoting plant growth. By creating space for roots to expand, aeration strengthens plant health and vitality. Moreover, aeration improves the soil’s ability to absorb water. Without it, water may not effectively reach plant roots due to soil compaction. Therefore, aeration is a crucial step in optimizing soil conditions for plant health and productivity.
The Aeration Jet Ground Aerator is designed to relieve deep soil compaction in various amenity areas like golf greens, sports pitches, paddocks, racecourses, and large lawns. It can also loosen subsoil below compressed type-one aggregate in places like school car parks.
The machine uses a hollow metal probe, which is pushed into the ground. High-pressure air is discharged through four vents at the sides, directly into the compacted layers, causing separation and cracks that allow plant roots and water to penetrate.
Yes, the Aeration Jet Ground Aerator features an exclusive compaction targeting system. Users can identify the depth of compaction using a ground penetrometer and adjust the air discharge points to suit the identified depth.
It is estimated that around 122 activations are needed for areas up to 400m², and this process takes approximately one hour.
Large volumes of air are required for the operation, with the recommended setting for the integral reservoir being about 100psi. Higher pressures may cause unnecessary subsoil disturbance and could leave the surface uneven.
